QUADRIVUM was a duo live concert experience by Kalle Vainio and Alexander Salvesen where prepared piano, liquid light analog visuals and modular synthesizer collide in a psychedelic organized chaos. The work is always changing due to the flowing quality of the creation.

Uncontrollability is one the key elements of QUADRIVIUM – it’s the suspension of the moments between chaos and control. Same qualities are in the prepared piano: inside the piano you can find blu-tak balls, duck-tape, super balls, corks, toy figures, e-bows, toothbrushes, newspaper, metal clips and wooden sticks that are resonating in unpredictable ways. The constantly changing flow of the fluids in the liquid light projections are equally unpredictable.
