In April 2022 I spent one month at the Serlachius Residency in Mänttä, Finland. During that time winter turned to spring. The ice on the lake melted and leaves started to push out into the air. In the residency I worked on the up coming exhibitions Current States III and Don’t Hold Your Breath (together with Jere Suontausta). I also made prepared for a choir concert called Kraft with Akademen. What follows here is a collection of diary-like inserts of thoughts and perceptions that I had during the residency.

Det har visat sig att björken brukar slå ut först i min vas. Det finns redan helt utslagna små löv.

Why do we celebrate effort – we push rocks uphill just because of pushing
by letting things go – we allow things to happen
Situations often solve themselves.
